Led by the School of Art & Design PhD supervision team, this workshop discusses a range of questions, insights and problems surrounding Practice Led Research (Format 3) with a focus on trans-disciplinary creative research. Experienced supervisors will bring issues to the table for discussion. The format of the workshop acknowledges the experience of all participants and takes the form of a round table discussion.

This workshop will discuss the following kinds of issues:
• working with applicants on the PGR1 and PGR2;
• creative practice components of the literature review;
• preparing candidates for the final exhibition/project;
• containing format 3 projects so they don’t become too large;
• preparing candidates for the oral examination with an emphasis on creative practice.
